STORE LOCATOR - DESII VINTAGE, FIRENZE

Meet Mr. Carlo Alberto Andreani of Desii Vintage, you can find this small well curated store
at Via de Conti 17/19 - Firenze. Indeed, in the same street as UB. The store is packed with vintage
shoes like Red Wings, Tricker's, John Lobb etc. Nice broken-in Belstaff Jackets, Woolrich, vintage Louis Vuitton luggage etc. etc.
This is a man's "one stop wet dream".

THE ONLY WAY IS........ UB, FIRENZE

In a hidden street called Via dei Conti, I found UB, named after it's owner Ubaldo. The store has a beautiful customized metal door and window. When you enter the store you don't enter another vintage store which just sells some vintage furniture and decor. All pieces are carefully searched for, selected and restored. Next to great retro furniture, vintage signs you see the love for sports-stuff, better said cycling. Great pieces of vintage woolen cycle shirts are all over the store. So peacocks next time when you visit Pitti Uomo stop by @ UB and see it for yourself.

SO CHAD WENT TO FLORENCE DURING PITTI UOMO......

The Duomo

The Mercato Centrale is a covered market hall

The Palazzo della Signoria, better known as the Palazzo Vecchio
Ponte Vecchio, which overlooks the Arno river

Palazzo Pitti on Boboli Gardens' side

More than a week ago I was @ Pitti Uomo, but I didn't just enjoyed the show I also went like a tourist trough the small streets of the Capital of Tuscany. Florence is famous for its history. A centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of the time, Florence is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance, and has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages. The historic centre of Florence attracts millions of tourists each year and I'm one of them. I enjoyed also the great new FW 2013 windows of the stores in the city even with 40 degrees that Shaggy Dog sweater looks great. My next stop is the Bread & Butter - Berlin, as JFK said I am a Berliner....

ALTEA - SNEAKPEEK SS 2014

ALTEA not just a tie!

In 1892 Giuseppe Sartori opened his tie shop in Milan at the corner of via Verri and via Monte Napoleone, which is today the beating heart of world Fashion. In 1946 Felice Sartori sets up a company with his sons and decides to create a brand, Altea is born. The name is is inspired by a plant with fabulous colors.
You can find these beautiful colors in the Spring Summer 2014 collections. Altea brings more then just ties, the collection ranges from ties, scarves, shirts, to knits etc. All with nice details such as a knitted mini bowtie, as you can see on the last picture.
