Fiztroy & Everest opened it's doors in 1994, in Rotterdam - Kralingen. It was then that Olivier van Schaik decided to make from his passion his job. The store and the workshop are situated in a building from 1898. When you enter the store the first thing you notice is the smell of leather. The store is packed with luggage from years far behind us. Every piece is restored by Olivier leaving it's patina but just give it some love and care. Olivier talks with passion about the items he has in the store, how things where made in the old days, that's what he admires most. Every guy can find something he would like to have in his boys room or driving around his classic car. Behind the store and workshop he has a warehouse packed with great stuff, ready to be restored as you can see in the last pictures.

GANT CAMPUS STORE, HAARLEM
Today it was the launch of the second Gant Campus Store in The Netherlands, last year the brand with the roots in New Haven, CT & Yale opened the first one in Maastricht. Haarlem is the place to be for up to date prepstars. The store brings the best of Gant Mainline, Gant by Michael Bastian and unique in the Benelux a collection of Gant Rugger. I had the chance to get my Yale shirt personalized. The evening was filled with beer, Ketel 1 cocktails or straight and Hamburgers like the ones you get at Louis Lunch in New Haven, CT. The Gant Campus breathes Ivy Leaugue, Rowing, Campus Library, everything is well thought, like the wall paper with ads from the early 50's. And what to say about the oars used for a wall unit or the desk at the front. If you close your eyes you see Mr. Bernard Gant himself placing the orders of the fabrics for the shirts. Come and see for yourself @ Anegang 29, Haarlem, the Netherlands.

The woman area is decorated not only with products from Gant Mainline, but also Gant Collection & Gant by Michael Bastian is presented.

GANT CAMPUS STORE, MAASTRICHT
Yesterday, I just show you a teaser of the Gant Campus Store, Maastricht. Today I show you the ground floor. At the entrance you feel like coming into an living room with a "chesterfield" sofa, Jielde lamp and trunks where the master of the house stock his summer garments. In the fitting rooms they used fabric from Rugby shirts with rubber buttons, the walls are covered with heritage frames, showing old advertisements and historic pics of the Gant archieves. at the back of the store there is the "boatrack" just put your skiff and oars here and go shopping. The bookcase at the back of the cashdesk is filled with ivy sports and pennants from Yale. In the staircase to the womans section you see a beautiful wooden skiff.
You have to visit the store more than once to see every little detail.

GANT CAMPUS STORE
After 6 weeks of hard work we can finally open the GANT Campus Store. No this ain't a store in New York or Boston, this is true Dutch. The first GANT Campus store is built in Maastricht, and open for the public as per now. The store is inspired by the rich heritage of Gant and the Ivy Leaugue Universities of the American East Coast. Lot's of links with Ivy sports like rowing. Come see a great new concept by GANT in a beautiful city, where fashion and nice food go hand in hand. (more pics will follow soon.)
