You can't climb ALL the time

After waging war on my connective tissues, muscular fibers, and neural scaffolding for three entire weeks I finally decided to take some well deserved time off and go play in the snow.

The view from the top of Mammoth mt.  Those granitic spires are the Minarets, a trad climbing destination.

A very frosty and windblown summit.  Yet, the sun was shining so it couldn't have been all that bad.

Today the sun is shining and its off to the happy boulders.  My friend Kevin is here visiting from Washington.  He has been on a long 'dirt-bag'esque vision quest for the last few weeks/months(??) and is ending his soul searching boulder crush fest here in Bishop.  He has already put down a few hard boulders so it will be good to hang out and sponge whatever power I can off of him.
